And it goes a little something like this....A few days ago while in a conversation with a man I was essentially told that I am too dark to be considered eye candy for men.
Did it hurt my feelings? At this stage of my life, NOPE. I know who I am and what my value is. I've done a lot of self-esteem work over the years so that when statements like this are issued there is't an impact.
HOWEVER, I did feel it necessary to address my sister queens and this is my empowering response to you no matter what shade you are.
